The highest film honor in Hollywood, the Best Picture Oscar, has ostensibly already been handed out. With a record-breaking number of Golden Globe wins and a record-tying number of Academy nominations, La La Land is an unstoppable force to be reckoned with.

Will anything be able to take the feel-good musical of 2016 down? Well…anything’s possible.

• Moonlight

 

Will Win: La La Land

Could Win: Moonlight

Should Win: Moonlight

 

The award is, as previously mentioned, La La Land‘s to lose. If you are planning on picking the biggest upset pick of the night, then you choose Moonlight here. It seems like a long shot from this vantage point, but Moonlight is the film with the best odds of besting the favorite.

Also, if it were up to me Moonlight would be the clear favorite right now. For perhaps obvious reasons, though, it is not. Prepare to go with the safe bet on this one if you want to save your Oscar pool ballot from being busted.
