I have never heard of a film called My Life as a Zucchini, although I’m sure it’s good. Let’s look at the nominees for the 2017 Golden Globes – Best Animated Motion Picture.

Best Animated Feature

• Kubo and the Two Strings
• Moana
• My Life as a Zucchini
• Sing
• Zootopia

Will Win: Zootopia

Could Win: Kubo and the Two Strings

Dark Horse: Moana

 

Zootopia blew up theaters this past Spring. People love it. And, I mean, it’s ok. Moana and Kubo are good, too. The award is Zootopia‘s to lose. If it does, it will be to one of those two films. Sing is being released late in the year for a hoped late-season push, but I don’t think it will hold up to the quality found in these other three films. And, like I said, what is My Life as a Zucchini?
