Academy Awards 2016: Best Picture Nominee Predictions

It’s a long way to Academy Award night, but there are plenty of films already vying for Hollywood’s top honor. As it stands now, Spotlight might be the film to beat, but many films could make a viable run for the award in the coming months.

Nominees:

  • Spotlight
  • The Revenant
  • The Martian
  • Room
  • The Hateful Eight
  • Bridge of Spies
  • Carol
  • Mad Max: Fury Road
  • Brooklyn
  • Inside Out

Dark Horses:

  • Creed
  • Joy
  • The Danish Girl
  • Straight Outta Compton
  • Steve Jobs

Beyond these fifteen, there are numerous other films that could sneak into the race, but there is no room to put an exhaustive list here.
