The Theory of Everything‘s score is beautiful. It won the Golden Globe. As such, it stands out as the clear favorite. I was initially tempted to go with Alexandre Desplat for The Imitation Game, but he may be splitting the vote against his favor by being listed twice among these nominees. I also considered Hans Zimmer’s chances, but the score of Interstellar, although ethereal and befitting of the film’s mood, doesn’t quite stack up against Johann Johannsson’s score.
