Kingsman: The Golden Circle is, like its predecessor Kingsman: The Secret Service, a violence-obsessed take on the James Bond formula. In the same Bond vein, the plot revolves around a megalomaniac’s scheme to decimate the world population and the spies who follow the convoluted path to stop the evil plan in time.
The evil plan involves the chipper and sociopathic leader of a drug cartel (Julianne Moore) whose latest batch of drugs infects its users with Continue reading Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017) Movie Review
A little over a year ago, I went on a journey through the entirety of the James Bond franchise, reviewing each film in my James Bond Retrospective.
The one film I neglected to review was the unofficial, non-Eon Productions James Bond film from 1983: Never Say Never Again.
There are a few reasons why I never reviewed this film. First off, I was recruited through my reviews to edit and contribute to a James Bond website via Fansided. With this and reviewing over 20 Bond films in the course of two months, I succumbed to Continue reading Never Say Never Again (1983) Movie Review
Six actors have played the legendary Ian Fleming character James Bond 007 on film in the Eon Productions series of films. Of the lot of them–Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, Daniel Craig–who has played the slick 00-agent the best?

The new Bond film, Spectre, sports a baddie of epic proportion in Christoph Waltz. Initially dubbed Franz Oberhauser, Waltz plays a man from James Bond’s childhood. Greetings readers! Thanks for checking out CineFiles.
Recently, I have been given the opportunity to be an editor on a James Bond-themed website. If you’ve been checking out my James Bond Retrospective, then you know I have been indulging in the fruit of the Bond universe for the past few months. Now, I have the chance to indulge even more. It’s exciting.
If you want to join me on my journey into vodka martinis, tuxedos, and suave ass-kicking, then you can follow me over to Eye on Bond.
Eye on Bond is a FanSided website. FanSided is a series of websites dedicated to specific niches, written and curated by the fans themselves. I am eager to start working with FanSided and hope that you all will find some interest in my work over there.
As always, thanks for the support!

In the new outing for James Bond (Daniel Craig), we open on a gun barrel sequence. The classic gun barrel sequence, which we haven’t seen up front in a Daniel Craig Bond film until now. Signifying a return to classic Bond form, perhaps?
In Mexico City on Dia de Los Muertos, Bond stalks through a parade in a skeleton mask. He is on an off-book mission to assassinate a series of targets before they Continue reading Spectre (2015) Movie Review
Note: plot spoilers for previous Bond films ahead.
- What is SPECTRE?
The namesake of the upcoming film, SPECTRE is an international terrorist organization in the James Bond universe. It stands for SPecial Executive for Counter-Intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge, and Extortion. Yeah, it doesn’t really work as an acronym, but Fleming tried. In the books and the films, SPECTRE is involved in Continue reading 5 Things You Need to Know Before Seeing SPECTRE
